provides a vivid image for most. The mighty Colorado River and its tributaries began shaping the Canyon over 17 million years ago which is over 446km long, up to 29km wide and reaches depths of 1,800 metres. Our trek takes us into the Havasu section of the canyon which combines some of the most memorable back country trekking with the culture of a native American tribe that have occupied this area for centuries. This sandstone canyon is truly stunning with majestic waterfalls, turquoise pools, caves and hanging gardens. The four days trekking deep in the Canyon include some tough ascents, descents and extreme weather which all add to this amazing challenge. After trekking for over 60km spend the day in one of man’s modern day wonders Las Vegas; billed as the Entertainment Capital of the World. We then drive to Yosemite Valley for three days hiking through spectacular scenery. We save the biggest challenge until last with a huge day to take on the mighty Half Dome which will bring our total distance walked to 108km. We then enjoy a full day exploring the eclectic city that is San Francisco.
