Andes Mountain Range! After a scenic drive, you'll arrive at Paucartambo. This traditional village is known for its colonial bridge, Carlos III, in addition to its beautiful churches, quaint cobblestone streets, cozy public squares, and rich folklore history. After a tour of Paucartambo, continue on to the National Park of the Manu, one of the most highly protected natural areas in all of South America. Next, pay a visit to the Wayqecha Biological Center, located in the extraordinary Andean cloud forest! Characterized by its persistent low-level clouds, the cloud forest generates more than 50% of the water flowing in the lower Amazon River basin. This complex topography allows for an exceptionally diverse range of habitats that sustain a great number of bird and orchid species. Enjoy a homemade, locally-sourced lunch prepared by our chefs, Panchito and Claudio after experiencing the cloud forest. Then, wander down the peaceful Orchid Trail alongside your guide. Depending on the season, it is possible to observe more than 30 blooming orchids! Wind down your day with a delicious dinner from Panchito and Claudio. Share stories with the Wayqecha Biological Center staff before being escorted to your cabin for the night.
