First snow of the late autumn

Wild Taiga covers an area of natural wilderness untouched by human hands, ideal for viewing and

photographing animals in the wild. Here you may spot brown bear, wolverine and wolves, as well as elk, forest deer, flying squirrel, beavers and some of our great predatory birds in their natural habitat. These species may also be viewed in our neighbouring provinces Kuusamo and Pohjois-Karjala. We offer packages that focus either on the viewing of a single species or the viewing and photographing of several different species. Summer season is the busiest time for viewing animals, but packages are offered throughout the year. The changing seasons bring with them different photographic possibilities: the nightless night of the summer, the first snow of the late autumn, and numerous other ever-changing natural backdrops provide nature's own photographic studio, on nature's own time and schedule.
